About the Fermilab Library

The Fermilab Library’s mission is to support high energy physics research and development at Fermilab, and to support the high energy physics community worldwide.

Our collection includes online access to scientific journals, research databases, eBooks, and engineering standards via IP recognition, SSO, and proxy links. The library also has a small print collection of relevant resources.

The library is part of the Information Resources Department, which includes the Fermilab Archives,  Technical Publications, Records Management, and Imaging Services, and also facilitates Fermilab’s contributions to INSPIRE, an information platform for the HEP community, concentrating on Literature records, Jobs and Author Identity.

The library is located in Wilson Hall on the East side of the fifteenth floor, and is open to persons with Wilson Hall access whenever the building is open. Fermilab badge holders may check out books any time using self-service check-out. The reference desk is currently staffed 2-3 days a week. Requests should be sent to library@fnal.gov.
